FOUNDER STORY
The Philosophy Was Already There
I had the words "continuous improvement" set as my screensaver starting in 1994. It was just how I worked. In 2014, I sat in an onboarding class for a new job and saw a slide with those two words on it, next to a symbol I didn't recognize. The habit had a name. Kaizen. And a symbol I would come to know well (改善). I'd been practicing it for 20 years without knowing it. Two months later, I had the kanji tattooed on my leg. The screensaver was the trial run. The tattoo made it permanent. The philosophy already was.
Kaizen is simple. Find the next small thing that makes the work better, and do it. Then do it again. AI is the newest tool I've found for that. Not a revolution, not magic, just the most useful one I've worked with in a long time. That is what The kAIzen Alliance is built on.
I built it on myself first. kAIzen is a one-woman operation, and I run it the way I would teach a client to run theirs. I use AI to carry the work that does not need a human, so I can spend my hours on the work that does. I am my own case study. And the goal is never for a client to depend on me, a tool, or a vendor. It is for them to own the capability and run it themselves. Even the images on this site, including the ones of me, are made with AI. They are made with the same tools I would set up for a client.

We start with the work as it actually happens. The messy handoffs, repeated questions, manual follow-ups, half-used tools, and decisions living in your head because there is nowhere else for them to go.
