Frequently Asked Questions About The kAIzen Alliance

About working with The kAIzen Alliance
Start here. These cover how The kAIzen Alliance works and what to expect before you reach out, whichever path fits you.
What does The kAIzen Alliance actually do?
The kAIzen Alliance helps you put AI to work in your business, without needing to become an expert first. We start with what is actually eating your time, build AI into that work alongside you, and teach you to run it yourself, so the repetitive tasks stop pulling you away from the work that matters most. We are not running it for you, and we are not selling you one more subscription. We build it with you, train you as we go, and step back when it is yours to run.
How is this different from hiring a fractional executive or buying an AI tool?
The kAIzen Alliance is different because it builds AI into your work with you and then hands it over. A fractional executive stays on your books and keeps doing the work for you. A tool subscription hands you software and leaves you to figure it out alone. We do neither. We teach you how it works while we build it, and finish when you can run it on your own, so what you are left with is yours: not a standing monthly cost, and not one more app you never open.
Which page is for me, For Business Builders or For Channel and Partner Programs?
It depends on the kind of work you carry. If you run your own business and want AI to take repetitive work off your plate, the For Business Builders page is written for you. If you carry a channel or partner program inside a technology company and need AI-supported workflows your team can run, the For Channel and Partner Programs page is the one to read. Both lead to the same starting point: a free first conversation about where you are and what would actually help.
What happens in the first conversation?
The first conversation is a candid discussion about where you are now and what is actually getting in the way, not a demo or a sales pitch. We learn how your work runs, talk about where AI could genuinely help, and are honest if it is not the right fit for your situation right now. You leave with a clear picture of what is possible and what, if anything, makes sense as a next step. There is no pressure and no commitment.
Do I need to know anything about AI before I start?
No, and needing to ask is not a sign you are behind. You do not need any AI knowledge to begin. The kAIzen Alliance works with people who feel unsure where to start, meets you where you are, and explains everything in plain language while building the work with you. Learning it as we build is the point, so you can run it yourself when we step back.
Is the first conversation really free?
Yes. The first conversation is free, with no charge and no obligation to go further. It exists so you can get honest clarity on whether AI can help your situation before any money or commitment is involved. If AI is not the right fit for you right now, The kAIzen Alliance will tell you that directly.
Do I have to switch the AI tools or platforms I already use?
No. The kAIzen Alliance meets you where you are. If you already use particular AI tools or platforms, we build with what you have rather than asking you to switch. There is no single best AI platform, only the right one for your business, your work, and where you are right now. If you do not have AI tools in place yet, we help you choose a starting point that fits your business and your budget, so you are never paying for tools you do not need.
Is my information kept safe when you use AI?
Yes. Protecting your information is built into how The kAIzen Alliance works, not bolted on afterward. Sensitive details such as personal data, financial account information, passwords, and trade secrets are kept out of AI tools. Client work uses vetted paid-tier tools chosen for stronger privacy and no-training protections, and a person reviews AI output before anything is delivered or used to support a decision. The full set of data-handling and AI governance practices lives on the Responsible AI page.
For Business Builders
You started your business to do work you love, not to get buried in the repetitive tasks that pile up around it. If AI feels like something everyone else figured out and you did not, these are the questions that come up most.
What is the free AI Orientation, and what happens in one?
The AI Orientation is a free first conversation with The kAIzen Alliance. No slides, no agenda, no sales pitch, and no assumption that you should already know this stuff. We sit down with you, learn how your business runs day to day, and talk honestly about whether AI could actually help. You leave with a clear picture of what is possible and what, if anything, makes sense as a next step. If AI is not the right fit for your situation right now, we will tell you that too.
How does a Quick Win Sprint work?
A Quick Win Sprint fixes one specific problem in a single focused session for $197. It happens in two steps. First, a short Sprint Selection Call to pin down the exact fix and confirm the right sprint. Then a 60 to 90 minute working session where we build the fix with you. You leave with something that works and a one-page guide showing you how to keep using it on your own.
What does "you own it" actually mean?
It means the AI systems we build are yours to run, not ours to maintain for you. The kAIzen Alliance works alongside you during the build, documents everything in plain language, and at the end walks through every workflow to confirm you can operate it independently. When the engagement closes, you own all of it: every workflow, every system, every process. You do not need us to keep it running.
Do I need to be technical to work with you?
No. The kAIzen Alliance works with independent business builders who run their own businesses, not technical specialists. We meet you where you are, explain things in plain language, and build the systems with you so you understand how they work. You do not need to know anything about AI before the first conversation.
What happens after an engagement ends?
When a Build engagement ends, you own everything and can run it without us, but the relationship does not stop there. You have 30 days of direct support access, seven days a week, in case anything comes up. We check in at the 30-day mark and send a genuine how-is-it-going note at 90 days. If you want to keep improving rather than just maintain what you have, Advisory is an ongoing monthly option, never a requirement.
What does it cost, and what kind of commitment is involved?
Pricing is straightforward and published on the For Business Builders page. The AI Orientation is free. The Quick Win Sprint is $197, Discovery is $597, The Build starts at $1,497, and Advisory is $397 per month with a three-month minimum and then month to month. Everyone starts with the free AI Orientation, and nothing commits you to the next step after that. Paid offers are paid upfront or in clear phases, with no long contracts.
For Channel and Partner Programs
If you carry a channel or partner program and you are deciding whether to build AI-supported capability into it, these are the questions that come up most.
What is the difference between the Program Exploration Call and the Channel AI Readiness Assessment?
The Program Exploration Call is a free 45-minute conversation about where your channel program is now and whether The kAIzen Alliance is a genuine fit. It is not a pitch, and there is no charge. The Channel AI Readiness Assessment is the paid next step at $1,800: a structured diagnostic of how your program runs today that produces a prioritized map of where AI can help and a one-page brief you can take into the approval conversation with leadership. The call decides whether the Assessment makes sense. The Assessment is where the diagnostic work happens.
Do we need executive approval before booking the Program Exploration Call?
No. The Program Exploration Call is free, virtual, and 45 minutes, and it is meant for the person carrying the program, not a committee. You do not need budget or executive sign-off to have it. Part of the point of the call is to figure out what an internal approval conversation would even need to cover, so booking it is a step you can take on your own first.
What does the Program AI Opportunity Brief include?
The Program AI Opportunity Brief is a one-page executive summary produced as part of the Channel AI Readiness Assessment. It translates the Assessment findings into revenue language for your conversation with leadership: what the current gap is costing, what the opportunity looks like, what a Foundation Build would cover, and what approval is needed to move forward. It is written so an internal champion can take it to leadership without rebuilding the case from scratch.
Can the Assessment support an internal approval conversation?
Yes, that is one of its main purposes. The Channel AI Readiness Assessment produces the Program AI Opportunity Brief, a one-page summary written for the discussion with leadership before anything moves forward. It frames the findings in revenue terms, so the person carrying the program has a clear, defensible business case to bring to the people who control the budget.
What channel workflows can The kAIzen Alliance build?
The kAIzen Alliance builds AI-supported workflows across the full operating picture of a channel program: reporting, content production, partner communication, MDF, onboarding, deal registration, and executive reporting. The Foundation Build starts with the top three priorities from your Assessment, and the later Program Build extends across the rest. Which workflows come first depends on where the program is losing the most time and capacity, which is exactly what the Assessment identifies.
Do we have to complete Phase 1 before Phase 2 and 3?
Yes. The work is sequential by design. Phase 1, the Program Foundation Build, delivers your first three workflows so leadership sees a real result before more is committed. Phase 2 and 3, the Program Build, then extends the capability across the remaining priority workflows. Building in order means you are never building on top of something unproven, and each phase has its own price and its own clear finish line.
What happens after the Capability Handoff Document is delivered?
The Capability Handoff Document records exactly what was built, what your program now owns, what was left for a later phase, and what to watch during the first 30 days of running it independently. After it is delivered, your team operates the workflows without The kAIzen Alliance in the room, with 30 days of post-delivery support included. If you want to keep the capability current as partners, priorities, and tools change, Program Advisory is an optional monthly engagement, never a requirement.
Is Program Advisory execution support or advisory support?
Program Advisory is a defined monthly engagement with a concrete deliverable, not a retainer you pay for access and hope something useful comes out of it. Each month you agree on a deliverable at the start, the work gets done, and it closes with a written summary. In a slow month, the floor is a 30-minute AI landscape update specific to your program. When something is bigger than a month can hold, The kAIzen Alliance names it as a separate scoped Build, so Advisory never quietly turns into work you did not ask for.
Can this work be delivered virtually?
Yes. The entire engagement can be delivered virtually. The Program Exploration Call is a virtual 45-minute conversation, and the Assessment and Build run as live working sessions that do not require anyone to be in the same room. The workflows, the documentation, and the Capability Handoff Document all transfer the same way regardless of location.
Is this a fit for formal multi-vendor RFP processes?
Probably not. The kAIzen Alliance works best through a direct conversation, not a formal multi-vendor RFP for an engagement of this size. The way the work runs, mapping what is actually happening, prioritizing what to build first, and building it with the team that will own it, suits a working relationship rather than a procurement process. If a program is ready to build and wants a candid first conversation, the Program Exploration Call is the place to start.
